completely different

it's been almost a year from my last real post. wow, time flies. i'm a pretty terrible blogger. in october, 2009 tim and i moved into a house that his parents purchased in order to flip. at first it was difficult. a lot of work and some getting used to. i got past home sickness and getting used to juggling money (for the most part, anyway). now i've just fallen completely in love with it all. i love tim more than ever, i love the house, i love our dogs, our little family. it's wonderful. money is tough, and it always will be, but everything else is wonderful.

i got a new job back in november. that also contributed to the very tough transition of moving and being on my own. the new job is okay. it's nothing special and it pays a lot more than discmakers ever would, so i can't complain. i do miss the people at discmakers though.

as for everything else, my nephew is growing by the second. he's fantastic and completely gives me baby fever every time i'm around him (luckily, my brain and bank account have enough sense to override the baby fever for now!)

i'm slowly but surely learning who my friends are and who i want to invest my time and energy in when it comes to friendships. it's been a sad realization, and a stubborn one, but it's necessary. there are just some of my "friends" that i just can't care to associate with as much as i once liked to. i don't have time to worry about being their best friend anymore. i guess that's what comes with growing up.

vacation! i've finally convinced tim that it would be a fantastic idea to go to disney world (with a little help from harry potter land)!! i am beyond excited. i would go tomorrow if i could. the harry potter portion of universal doesn't open until the spring. since tim would probably die in florida in the summer, we decided to aim for october. it will be a fantastic belated birthday present! i can't wait. i just recently paid off my credit card with my tax return so i'll be able to book it soon! in fact, i can book it whenever i want, but i'm determined to find the cheapest price i can.

so all in all, things are going actually really well. aside from being exhausted all the time with getting up at 6am (i don't think i'll ever get used to this), and not having very much money, i am extremely happy right now.
